Sign the Petition to stop the proposed dredging of 4.3 million cubic meters from Trinity Inlet. Right now Cairns faces a huge dredging proposal that, if approved, will put huge stress on the reef. Read more on our dredging information page.

Check our Every Day Change page to see what actions you can take in every day life and when visiting the reef, to ensure that you are reducing your impact on the reef.

My name is Julien REY.

I’m really interested by your organization and your goals (e.g. Fight for the Australian reef).
I would like to give some time and energy to help your programs.
It would be a great opportunity for me to be involved on one of your projects as a volunteer in out door activities.

I already did this kind of activities when I was in South Africa. I help scientists on conservation programs of wild life (Wild Life Act organization). Different tasks were:
– to monitor pack of wild dogs and cheetahs, to note GPS coordinates, their behaviour and collect all data ;
– to put some camera trap in the bush to estimate the populations of leopards in a reserve ;
– …

I’m looking for out door activities as “eco volunteer” in marine environment between Noosa and Cairns…!

I know that to help you, it’s not going to a zoo!
Just before to come in Australia, I passed my international boat license. This may possibly help.

Thank you to read me.

Best regards.
